In addition to being a talented event planner and event producer, James P. Reber is a gifted speaker with hundreds of speaking appearances during his three-decade career. His knowledge of speaking and public presentation are one of the reasons he excels at planning and staging public ceremonies. The 2007 City of San Jose Council and Mayoral Inauguration Ceremony, pictured here, is an example.

Public Speaker

James P. Reber is a very experienced, highly-regarded guest speaker, seminar, panel, retreat and workshop leader. He has spoken publicly in venues and before audiences as wide and varied as is the population of Silicon Valley. During Mr. Reber's tenure at San Jose Rep, he averaged about 150 speeches annually to groups as small as living room gatherings and as large as conventions and conferences.

Mr. Reber's connection to public speaking goes back a long time. He first studied oratory when he attended Cupertino High School and began participating in National Forensic League Speech competitions. Mr Reber developed his oratory skills under ideal conditions, as CHS featured one of the best speech teams in the state.

Keynote Speaker or Pro Bono Emcee
Mr. Reber is available for service as a keynote speaker or as a pro bono Emcee for local nonprofit organizations, and enjoys doing it as his schedule allows. He also has a few different presentations that are part of his repertoire, but is also willing and able to speak to a certain topic when requested. Mr. Reber has also served as an auctioneer a few times at charity events and is available for this, too.

Mr. Reber regularly speaks at local service clubs, as well as at retreats, conferences, etc. and is available throughout the year. His motivational style and energetic presentations, combined with a witty Irish delivery, provide audiences with an entertaining and informative presentation.
