Event Design: The Foundation For Success
Successful events have to begin somewhere and that somewhere is at the very essence of an event - its design. Event design may be a foreign term to you and your organization, but it is the initial lynch-pin of every event.
Event design is the analyzing of three vital aspects that every organization needs to consider before beginning production or planning. And it is understanding the dynamic relationship they have to each other that propels an event toward success. These three elements are:
(1) The Event; (2) The Cause; and (3) The Community.
Organizations often fail to consider the flow of a crowd or the attention span of a patron. These are essential elements to a special event producer because they determine the overall success of the fundraiser or speech or news conference. In designing event, every single aspect of the event is considered from the layout of the banquet room or street festival to the location of food, bathrooms, or special event entertainment stage(s).
